This american kestrel had setteld in a recent spruce plantation and used the tree tops as a perch for locating prey. While I stayed motionless within the trees, the bird eventually moved to a tree close to me and sprayed it's wings while trying to preserve its balance on the narrow tip, displaying the interior of its beautiful wings!
