I captured this handsome fellow gleaming in the shade while resting on the branch of a Rose of Sharon tree. Every May I eagerly await the return of the Ruby Throated Hummingbirds to our Grey County Ontario property. And they never fail to disappoint, zooming in to rest on a branch or take a drink from the early Spring flowers or the numerous hummingbird feeders we provide for them after they make their epic journey home from southern destinations.
