Crown of frost Since the loss of their velvet, I have made several dozen expeditions to meet the moose. I have almost entirely dedicated my fall to look for them. In the last few days, some areas are under the rain, while the high peaks are covered with snow. It is this atmosphere that I tried to capture at all costs. Not only the big snowy males, but also frosted by the humid wind. The same wind that 1000 meters below us fogged the grayish landscape. These two males, I was able to meet them on different occasions during the last few years. The plume of the one on the left has increased a few inches since last year while the other one seems to have stabilized. They know each other well and share this peak with another great legendary male that I will introduce you to later. They were accompanied by two females and a young of the year. After a few hours of feeding, they all lay down on the ground close to each other. It was a beautiful sight. I hope to be able to observe them again for many years to come. This is the importance of protecting our forests.
