This is my favourite sighting of a blue jay. I jumped up and out of my chair from excitement when I saw the blue jay. This normally would startle the bird and cause it to fly away. For some strange reason this particular blue jay let me jump up and come very close to it. I was able to take a series of photos of this beautiful blue jay as it played in and around the pond. This was "blue jay bliss".
