While on our way to a site bush flying in northern B.C., a passenger spotted wolves a long way off. After landing I started in their direction with my camera, arriving where they last were to find only tracks in fresh snow. I followed the tracks for a ways, and eventually saw one wolf watching the rear. I took a couple shaky, out of breath photos, and then the rest of the pack briefly appeared in the clear out of the trees and allowed a half dozen more. To date it’s the most wolves I’ve captured in a single photo with only one of the pack, the vanguard I encountered first, not pictured.
