While taking photos of the Ottawa River at Britannia Park in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, I noticed a pair of Downy Woodpeckers moving around the trunk of a large tree nearby. I watched them for a while as the adult male searched for food to share with its not-so-little fledgeling. Sometimes it got a little sticky.
