Mary's Point Bird Sanctuary - my children and I were just finishing our hike - a couple of hours prior to low tide (we landed it this was as to not disturb the birds that feed on the mud shrimp at low tide). WHEN the first group of semipalmated sandpipers arrived and actually flew directly t us as we sat on the beach.
