In winter and breeding season, European Starlings grow bold white spots on their purple and green iridescence feathers. In the 1890’s, 100 birds were released in New York’s Central Park. There are are now 200 million across North America. Photographed on a Stag Horn Sumach in Colonel Sam Smith Park in Toronto
