A young Lynx peers out at me through some brush and grasses. I consider myself very fortunate to have spent almost 15 minutes with this cat after a chance encounter on a back road last year. It seemed young and curious of me and stuck around checking me out for a while before silently disappearing into the thick forest. An encounter I will never forget.
