eye to eye with a curious marten

I came across a pair of Pine Martens chasing each other up and down a tree, I lay down in the snow to take a few photographs and after a short while one of the martens broke off to move toward me, out of curiosity, it came slowly closer before standing up on its hind legs, balancing on a fallen tree to get a closer look at me. We met eyes for several minutes until I lay the camera down and the marten ran back to the safety of the tree line.
