Unexpected visitor

This male Rufous Hummingbird should not have been east of the Rockies. How it arrived in my yard in St. Martins, New Brunswick, I don't know. It is so rare I had over 50 birders from all over the province come and see it on Labour Day weekend.

Sheffield Mills, Nova Scotia hosts an Eagle Watch every winter. Dust ups happen when these majestic birds fight over scraps of food.

A beautiful Monarch butterfly enjoys the Common Milkweed plants in my yard.

Partridge in a Mountain Ash tree
