I heard them before I saw them. This pair of western meadowlarks, so iconic to the Saskatchewan landscape, chose to hang out in the greasewood in front of my office window in Eastend, SK for a few day. I can't speak for them, but I certainly enjoyed their company!
Bullsnakes are quite adapt at climbing. Though it was well camouflaged, I spotted this impressive snake in a wolf willow tree along the South Saskatchewan River near the Alberta-Saskatchewan border.
I spotted this spectacular blister beetle (Lytta sp.) on the side of the highway near Eastend, Saskatchewan. The colours were so amazing I had to stop and capture an image of this remarakble creature.
