Almost overlooked due to the smallness but the bright, rich colour is seen on a decaying log in the damp woods, the delicate Jelly Drops Fungus (Ascocoryne cylichnium) is found at Lac Neil, Alleyn-et-Cawood, Québec, Canada.
Just beginning to turn brown for the season change a Snowshoe Hare (Lepus americanus) licking his lips after some tasty bird seed at Shirleys Bay, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Looking closely at the spongy sphagnum moss next to the boardwalk one can spot the small, delicate and unusual flower of the Bog Cranberry (Vaccinium oxycoccos) in bloom at the Mer Bleue Conservation Area, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Ramsar site no. 755.
