Frost coats some partridgefoot in BC's Selkirk Mountains during a cold September morning.
Wildflowers bloom profusely in BC's Selkirk Mountains.
I came across this mountain goat while on a hiking trip in BC's Selkirk Mountains. It appeared undisturbed by my presence and even took a moment to post in front of a large mountain as if to enjoy the sun's rays.
Red foxes have incredible hearing and can hear rodents under the snow. This particular individual was tracking a rodent and getting reading to pounce.
I always dream of coming across wildlife while exploring backcountry trails far away from roads. Such was the case in Jasper National Park one day as I was out skiing. I came across four bull moose feeding and rubbing their antlers against tree branches. It was difficult getting a clear shot with all the branches and trees, however, my patience was rewarded.
