I watched this European Starling compete with native species such as waxwings and robins for food including winter fruit.
Pika collecting food
My wife and I went for a social distance hike with friends to Stanley Glacier in Kootenay National Park, British Columbia. On our way in we saw a pika collecting food. He or she moved quickly through the rocks but occasionally stood still allowing for a good view.
Mother and calf
I spent several days day in Alberta’s Kananaskis Country specially looking for moose and this photo was from the first day that I was successful. I spotted a cow and her calf and I spent two and a half hours viewing them from a safe distance. The moose always knew I was nearby and they were focused on eating.
