Smiling Beaver
At times the local beaver comes out of the water to nibble on the vegetation. Their incisors are orange because they are coated with an iron rich protective enamel.
A splash of colour from the virginia creeper and a Northern Flicker.
The Northern Flicker is well camouflaged amongst the Virginia creeper vines to devour the plentiful fall berries.

The hunt
A beautiful coyote searches the long grass for voles and mice. Coyotes are swift hunters and are opportunists on any small meal in the fields
Refuge in the woodpile
A little brown bat takes safe refuge in the wood pile. They eat all sorts of insects and are a sign of a good ecosystem.
