I took this shot of my rudbeckia (also known as Cut-leaf Coneflower)in my garden last fall. This flower is an old heirloom, native to Canada. They have loads of fluffy double chrome yellow daisies. It is a vigorous spreader and can be as tall as 6 feet. An excellent flower for cutting.
I captured this shot of this grasshopper on this Black-eyed Susan in my garden. This flower is native to North America, it is extremely hardy and self seeds readily. Black-eyed Susans grow best in full sun, and blanket open fields with their golden-yellow beauty.
I captured this shot of this grasshopper on my peony bush. I watched him for awhile as he just sat there holding on and waiting. Peonies are beautiful in bloom from spring to summer - with lush foliage all summer long. Some peonies have been known to thrive for at least 100 years.
I captured this shot in my back garden, where my trillium grows best in amongst the trees where the soil is moist. Ontario’s floral emblem is not only beautiful, but every year as the clump gets larger more flowers appear. I look forward to the blooms every spring.
