Rocky Mountaineer

Rocky Mountaineer. I took this shot while hiking in Jasper, Alberta one afternoon. The snow started flying so we were heading back to the vehicles and we came across this small band of rams. They were very happy to pose for us & made for wonderful models.

Butterballs

Butterballs. These two Grizzly cubs gave us quite the show along with their 3rd sibling one particularly snowy fall day. They were chasing each other & climbing up hill only to roll back down them as young kids would do. It was completely entertaining.

How long have we been married for?

How long have we been married for? These two Bald Eagles were having a disagreement one morning near our camp & the big joke was they were clearly a couple that had been married for many year & were having a disagreement.

O Canada

O Canada. We decided to take the road-trip up to Lave Bed Provincial Park in British Columbia. We drove all the way back to the ocean to Gingolx, B.C. and that village is right at the mouth of the mighty Nass River. Being that it's located right on the ocean & is a fishing village, there is a huge population of birds including Bald Eagles & Ravens. I could not pass up this incredible photographic opportunity when we happened to pass this beautiful scene. To me, this image speaks such volumes & is incredibly spiritual.

West Coast Bald Eagle

West Coast Bald Eagle. This eagle was attempting to dry himself off after plunging into the water after a salmon. He was successful & gave the fish to his mate before he hopped & jumped from rock to rock drying himself off.
