Curious Squirrel
I came across this squirrel on he path I was walking on near Wascana Lake, in Regina. I stayed pretty far away to give it some room, and I managed to get this shot when he noticed me and froze. He stood there for a little while and then ran back into the tall grass.
Barn Swallow
This swallow landed on a branch not too far in front of me on the shoreline of Wascana Lake back in spring.
Black Capped Chickadee
A photo of a chickadee I got a few weeks ago near Wascana Lake, just at the onset of winter.
Soaring Gull
I took this shot in Rowan's Ravine Provincial Park, in Saskatchewan. I found a point on the shore where the shoreline turned, and there were fierce winds that day blowing around the point. I sat there for around a half hour while dozens of ring-billed gulls came around the point, flying (quite slowly) against the wind; it provided for some great photo opportunities.
Swimming Shoveler
I took this shot this past spring on a pond beside Wascana Lake, in Regina. I was able to get the shot of this northern shoveler as it swam in between two reeds that were in the middle of the pond.
