At least once a month I go for a long walk in Tommy Thompson Park and often see red-tailed hawks there. On this particular day there was a juvenile hunting right next to the pathways. He had a crowd of birders with massive cameras following his every move like the bird paparazzi.
I found this poor Barred Owl trying to stay sheltered in the midst of a pretty intense winter storm.
I took this picture of this beautiful Barred Owl up high in an amazing little forest of birch trees.
We have a gang of chickadees that roam the ravine behind our house, this is one of them.
We have a ravine behind our house that has a huge variety of birds in it. One of the first bird pictures I took was of this little kinglet.
