Rocky Mountain Goat
Near where I live is a small herd of Mountain Goats and if you wish to photograph them you need to climb a mountain. This is how I got to this Goat and he/she was very kind and let me hang out with it for about an hour before it wander further up the mountain out of my reach.
Bighorns in Battle
The fall rut for California Bighorns begins in early November. The photo captures two males head butting to decide dominance and rights to breed with the Ewes in the immediate area. Its difficult to get close to this action as it tends to move around with pauses in between.
Rocky Mountain Goat
Rocky Mountain Goats are not normal in the area where I live but we do have some and they tend to live in the higher rocky areas of the valley. This Goat was in that upper area and it took some time to reach it and get some photos. As they are not hunted they are indifferent to humans near them and that was a big help.
