Springtime munchin'

Mountain goat blues
On this particular morning, the rain was coming down heavily. The wind bashed our tent from side to side relentlessly. Sure glad I decided to crawl out of my sleeping bag because this billy laid down in the perfect spot for some down time.
A nap with a view!
A billy mountain resting high up in the Valhalla Range of BC. With enough patience and time these wise animals will eventually feel comfortable enough around you. It was incredibly special getting a glimpse into how they interact with each other and to hear the vocalizations they made.
Snowstorm Moose
For the past month or so I've been out in search of moose, preferably a bull in rut. Day after day I came home empty handed, usually not seeing more than some tracks or scat. As the rut has come to an end the moose become a little harder to find as they're not going stir crazy over the cows anymore. Yesterday morning when I was out scouting the stars aligned. Bull moose in a meadow full of willows during heavy snowfall. You don't often realize how big these creatures are until they walk towards you and stare you dead in the face at 30ft.
