This butterfly perched on the leaf, and I knew I could finally leave the butterfly museum I had been running around with my camera in for the last 2 hours.
I just love the colour of these orchids, and the symmetry of them. This garden gave me a wonderful afternoon on a day I needed the boost.
This juvenile female Grizzly Bear wandered through the weir late in the afternoon, hoping to find a Pink Salmon heading up the channel to spawn. It was still too early in the fall for salmon, though, and she continued on her way after standing in grim frustration for a few seconds!
Exploring the Cassiar Highway this past autumn was, as usual, beautiful. The curiosity of these wild foxes is remarkable, and sometimes they even play with you! This little guy was staring at me as I took photo after photo... he must have gotten a little tired from the attention.
Wandering through the Kwalate Valley in the Great Bear Rainforest, our job was to maintain the hiking trail and explore new potential routes. I spotted this little guy perched high on a broken tree - and tried to lower my focus as much as possible to create blur and focus in the same shot. The green of the forest is all you notice, that and this warbler.
