It was one warm day at the beginning of November : indian summer (sorry for the term). It almost looks like the buds of spring, with the fall colors, but with the summer heat. Warm mornings still welcome the chirping of winged visitors. This one is beautiful with his crown of fire : a redpoll eating his breakfast in Portneuf, Québec.

I spend a lot of time in the woods looking for fauna; that day, I was looking for hares. Instead of finding our fluffy friends, this downy woodpecker came next to me, searching for food, and staying long enough to give me time to fully portrait him!
