Soft Landing
I spent a week on Amherst Island near Kingston learning about and photographing snowy owls. Snowies are very territorial and keep perching on the same few trees and hydro poles, so they were relatively easy to find day after day. This was the most sunny day of the week and this owl did not disappoint us. She put up quite a show for us flying on and off this dead tree - what a thrill it was.
Big White
The Polar Bear Capital of the World, Churchill Manitoba, one of the amazing Canadian destination for a photographic safari. I was expertly guided on foot to photograph Polar Bears eye to eye. We saw this large male walking north along the shores of the Hudson Bay, so we drove 1 km ahead and set up waiting for him. Big White, I call him, kept getting closer and closer. my heart was pounding, my camera was clicking.
