On a misty, foggy morning while walking my dog. The sun made an appearance and lit the entire Forrest up. It was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen, even Koda seemed to notice.
I was on a coastal multi day hike in February. I was exploring a nearby cove when I saw a highway of wolf tracks. I continued down the beach and on the way back up I noticed 3 wolves trotting down the beach towards me. Two of them decided to join the howling pack in the forest to my right but this one lone wolf took to the ridge line and watched me. One lone wolf to another. We had about a 15 minute interaction before this wolf let out a long howl and ran off to join the pack.
I was picking mushrooms this fall when I felt like I was being watched. I looked up and saw this bear looking at me. We spoke a million words without saying one. Just as slow as I was to notice her she walked off without making a sound.
I was photographing swallows feeding on insects along a local river. When I saw the reflection of an eagle on the water through my view finder. I focused on on the eagle and watched as he circled and landed on the tip of this old standing dead tree.I was shocked by what I captured and the fact the tree top didn't snap!
This baby barred owl was part of 2 babies born into the Forrest behind my house this spring. I was lucky enough to watch this guy watch his mom drop off a crayfish to his sibling on a near by branch.
