Greedy Guts
One-eared Cecil, a black a squirrel, is easily identified in our backyard, not just by his missing ear, but also by his bold and brazen acceptance of us. Cecil will take peanuts from my hand and comes running when I go out. Here Cecil is stealing as many of the peanuts I put out for the Blue Jays as he can gather up in his little arms.
Life is Tough
Sadly, this Great Blue Heron was rescued a few days after this shot because it was not acting "right." It was taken to Shades of Hope Wildlife Refuge and has apparently died of massive head injury.
