Canadian Beaver
The saying "busy as a beaver" certainly applied to this one here. He/She was very busy swimming, moving twigs and eating at Tommy Thompson Park here in Toronto, Ontario. Definitely appeared very determined to get the tasks done. This beaver was fun to watch! VERY...Canadian! ;-)
Playful Mink
I had great fun watching this mink at Tommy Thompson Park here in Toronto, Ontario. He/she would scamper around, up the rocks, down the rocks, over the ice, playing and investigating....just enjoying the late afternoon....not seemingly too concerned I was standing nearby watching. Every so often he/she would make a dive through a space in the ice and.....come up with a snack! Great fun to watch!
I See You!
During a walk at Edwards Gardens here in Toronto, Ontario, I think both this fox and I were very surprised to see each other. However, in that brief, split second moment of "me watching you, watching me", .... at least I, .... felt a connection with nature.
A Bite for Lunch
This is a female merganser duck that I saw catching a fish at the Evergreen Brickworks here in Toronto, Ontario. It was one of those split second moments that I was excited to catch. I had never seen a merganser before. With this pandemic, the opportunity to get out and spend more time experiencing nature has been wonderful!
Barred Owl
Tommy Thompson Park here in Toronto, Ontario is an amazing place to experience nature (and take pictures). During a recent walk there, I spotted this barred owl. I was being very quiet and he/she didn't seem too concerned I was there. A very peaceful moment.
