The happiest Mayfly
We all know Mayflies, they come in giant swarms. This particular one flew into my condo in downtown Ottawa, I was just learning macro photography and the giant smile this mayfly gave me was quite captivating.
Heron with a scratch
I was wandering around Mud Lake in Ottawa and was ready to pack it in, then I spotted this beautiful heron less than 10 feet from the shore. The heron stayed in this spot for about a half hour, allowing me to get some candid shots like this one.

I was walking along a path at Mud Lake in Ottawa, Ontario and I spotted this 'shocked' tree in the forest.
