Nesting Loon

While kayaking in the summer, I came across bright red eyes. The loon sat so still I thought she wasn't real, until she turned her head to get a better look at me. At a repectful distance, I was able to see one egg in the nest while the loon took a dip. I took this photo when the loon returned to the nest.
