I spotted this mink running out of the forest, down the rocks edge and into the ocean. They dove in and quickly disappeared back into the trees. I waited for about an hour hoping they would come back. Luckily they did! This curious one ran towards my camera, staring so intently, straight into my lens. My heart was racing with excitement. They then continued on their way in search of a fishy meal.
This photograph was taken on a beach on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. There was a large group of seagulls strutting around together, enjoying the last moments of the sun.
This heron was hanging out in a local park during a dark, grey winter morning. Always love seeing these prehistoric looking birds.
I spotted this young Eagle pulling apart a salmon carcass along the Fraser River. They were hanging around the area for a few hours, calling to their friends in the trees above while enjoying a rather smelly meal. A few eagles would come by but this one was not willing to share their catch. I was low on the ground while this beautiful bird gave me all of their angles, such a poser! Always a treat to be around the presence of these majestic birds.
