Trillium Alongside Birch

Trillium Grandiflorum, Ontario's provincial flower. This mixed woodland is carpeted with wild trilliums in May, white ones turning to blush pink as they age, red, the first to bloom, and occasionally green or double flowers.

Chicken of the Woods

Laetiporus sulphureus. We spotted this brilliant fungus from a distance, and closed in on a perfect specimen. Much to discover on October woodland walks.
