This Albertan Moose was on the move, I set up at an opening in the animal trail and was delighted when this beautiful Bull stopped for a moment to pose for a shot
This was the first wolf that I have ever seen and my photographer friends tell me how lucky I am. I have spent the last 4 years working with some of the best wildlife photographers in Canada and they too were so excited for me, telling me that everything I did that morning worked out in my favour. The hike, the quite wait, and staying as still as can be as this curious wolf walked calmly by.
I was so delighted to see my first wolf up close in Algonquin. As I quietly sat with my camera hoping to spot some wildlife, this curious wolf walked right towards where I was set up, he paused for a moment and walked right by.
Food is basic to whether bears and humans clash, whether bears reproduce and thrive, whether bears and other endangered critters drive each other to starvation. This Grizzly photo shoot was a real eye opener for me, as the fisheries were out counting the salmon each day, the Grizzlies where having to work alittle harder to fatten up for the winder. These siblings were a delight to watch, Diver, a skilled fishermen, would disappear for a few seconds and come up with a catch while their sibling waited patiently hoping that they might share a meal together. The salmon run was down this year and "Diver" has seemed to have adapted well.
