We had a pair of Mountain Bluebirds take up residence in one of our nesting boxes the summer of 2016. All was good until this squirrel showed up. The Bluebirds went crazy! Both the male and the female chased the squirrel, dive bombed him (her?) mercilessly. Around and around a tree, across the yard, up and down. Eventually the squirrel headed across the field with Mom and dad Bluebird in pursuit. The squirrel never came back and a brood of 5 baby Bluebirds was successfully fledged. It was tricky getting both the bird and the squirrel in the same frame. They were quick! Canon 7D, Canon 100-400L at 100 mm, 1/1250, f5.6, ISO 640.
I was shooting birds in our back yard with a canon 5D MK IV and a Sigma 150-600 C when I saw the bees working the Delphiniums. This shot was taken from about 20 feet, 1/2000, f/8.0, ISO 500.
