Pied-billed Grebe
This was photographed at our local park. I watched this Grebe for several hours diving and catching small fish. At one point it stopped and stretched. I was fortunate to catch this moment.

Photo was taken at our local park. I was watching several mergansers at our local lagoon repeatedly diving and catching small fish. It gave me numerous opportunities to photograph them with their catch.
Explosive Lift-off (American Wigeon)
I had watched these American Wigeons taking off from this small pond on a number of occasions. I knew I had to come back at another time of day to catch the Wigeons in the right light, which I did.
