Watching this Bald Eagle for a while waiting for take off i was surprised when i caught the wings in this position i found it unusual as i had'nt seen it before !!
I had set up a small water fountain for the birds in my backyard in the hope of photographing a Hummingbird ... I probably took 5000 photo's in the space of a month, trying to get the right light , angle , height , speed ... I was in awe as these little guys would hover in and out of the water almost like they were enjoying themselves in doing so... Luck was on my side with this one !!!
Shooting birds at night is quite difficult , unless its a Heron , sometimes they stay still long enough to get a good exposure..Lining the Heron up with the Ski hill lights i hoped for a still shot !!!
A breaking wave sends hundreds of Dunlins scrambling into the air... Such a joy to watch these little shorebirds ..
Photographing Sunsets i do alot and when this Great Blue Heron landed on a rock infront of me and stayed there for the whole Sunset i just couldnt help snapping away ... Focusing on the composition while not having long to get my shot was difficult... Stopping down for the Silhouette gave me this cool shot !!
