Night Hunter

While driving around at sunset in Edson Alberta, perched on a fence post overlooking the edge of the forest, a grey owl scans the grass looking for supper. Sun setting behind the trees in the forest, it's orange glow beams around the owl. Slowly creeping up to get as close as possible, the owl turns it's head and looks directly at me, now is the time! I snap the shot just in time before it leaps off the post, flies low to the ground and into the woods.
