Foggy Gulls
A sunrise trip by the water didn’t yield a lot of activity, but I noticed the group of gulls on an islet near shore start taking off in waves. The fog made it so you can see the distinct layers of the different waves of them leaving.
Sunrise Scaup
A clear and cold winter morning promised good shooting conditions at a nearby lake, so I went out and had some gorgeous backlighting to work with for a little while as this Lesser Scaup floated past. The calm scene was an amazing sanctuary from the nearby highway and surrounding city.
