Cedar Waxwing in Flight
This Cedar Waxwing with outstretched wings was feeding on the berries in my front yard Mountain Ash tree last spring and I was there ready with camera in hand to snap this photo.
Blue Heron in Flight
Can you imagine kayaking at Petrie Island near Ottawa, Ontario and having this Blue Heron lift out of the vegetation at the right moment so I was able to capture this photo? It was truly magical!
Cute as a Button!
This female Mallard was cute as a button as she posed so graciously for my photos. The picture was taken in Ottawa very close to our home in late November 2020 and how special the connection was. Pretty gal!
Male Wood Duck in Regal Colours!
I love Wood Ducks and on a very nice November day in 2020 at Mudd Lake in Ottawa, Ontario, I came upon this gorgeous male Wood Duck with its impossible colours and patterns on full display. I was so excited and he obliged as I snapped away with my camera.
Evening Grosbeak
I was so surprised to see this Evening Grosbeak in Ottawa, Ontario in early January 2021. This is the first time that I have ever seen this type of bird let alone take a photo of one. I saw the bright yellow and I thought of an American Goldfinch. So exciting!
