My friend and I were driving in the country when we saw a fox approaching a skunk. To our amazement the skunk stood its ground and raised its tail but did not spray. The fox started to run circles around the skunk and they appeared to be playing! I hopped out of the car to capture some photos of this magical moment.
I was driving the back roads when I came across two great horned owlets learning to spread their wings on the top of large coniferous tree. I was enthralled to see them and I kept my distance so as to not disturb them. I was amused to see that they observed the social distancing rule as well.
As I watched the coyote searching for food, it decided to lay down among the flowers and grasses to enjoy the moment.
As I watched Canada Geese at the local marina, a red fox appeared searching for food. The geese immediately went on alert and some flew off and others closer to the fox, stood their ground and spread their wings to ward off the fox. The fox knew he was outnumbered and walked away still hungry.
A juvenile eagle approached an adult bald eagle as it was perched on top of a conifer tree and decided he wanted to challenge the adult eagle for its perch. I was able to capture the moment the bald eagle accepted the juvenile's challenge as the adult eagle flew into the air to battle the juvenile. The adult won.
