"Get Lost" by Debbie Oppermann The Common Grackle is a very noisy blackbird with a purple head, yellow eyes and beautiful glossy iridescence visible in the right light and an attitude. They are big, have big appetites, and they can monopolize your bird feeders. No wonder so many birdwatchers think of them as big bullies. They are not my favourite bird at all, but I have to admit they have beautiful plumage.
