"Aristocratic Goldfinch" by Debbie Oppermann. This immature American Goldfinch perched for some time on the clothes line and was looking quite aristocratic and regal. The juvenile Goldfinches are quite beautiful in the subtle colors of buff and brownish black plumage. I find that the fact that the Goldfinch is one of the strictest vegetarians in the bird world quite interesting.
