"Winter Teasel" by Debbie Oppermann. The Teasel is a unique and distinctive summer blooming lavender wildflower, in that it opens first around the middle of the spiny and prickly flowerhead and then sequentially toward top and bottom. An average Teasel produces 3300 seeds that birds enjoy. The snow covered Teasel in winter is stunning in it's simplicity. The dried flowers and stems are terrific in a wild flower arrangement.
