As part of their mating/courtship ritual, Ravens, who mate for life, will gently caress and inspect each other's beaks. When you see it for yourself you can truly see the affection they share for one another. What you can't take away from this photo were the sounds of them talking to each other while they did this in what can only be described as a language. I'm fascinated by Ravens and their intimate and amazing social structures and that grows exponentially with every minute I spend with them
