In the spring season Black Bears love feasting on poplar tree seeds. This cub was both independent and brave, climbing to the highest limbs of the tree to find more of these delicious seeds while it’s mama and sibling stayed close together on a limb further down. I was especially taken by the spring cub’s heart shaped patch of fur on its chest.
