In the beautiful Tsehum Harbour, Sidney, BC there are 2 herons who stake their territory and run off any newcomers who try to ‘share’ their feeding ground. Each of the 2 herons has a very specific ‘area’. After a day of heavy rain, the sun finally broke through around 3 pm. One heron was sitting in his usual spot on a dock covered with old tires to protect him from the wind, while this beautiful heron was in the trees waiting for a lower tide which could help procure supper.
