Living close to Tsehum Harbour, we have large families of raccoons. These families can usually be found along the shoreline clam digging when the tide is out. However, when clams are in short supply, raccoon moms lead their families to our home just up from the shore to look for bird eggs in the tree. I caught this raccoon just as she was heading up the tree to search for the next meal. When I spoke to her, she put her paw up like she wanted to ‘shake’ on it with me!
