"Over The Corn Field Flies The Snowy Owl" by Debbie Oppermann. Imagine my delight when I was able to capture the regal female Snowy Owl in flight over the winter corn field. It is not always possible to catch them flying as they are a sit and wait hunter. Silent and patient they survey the winter fields as they hunt during the day, unlike other Owls. There haven't been too many sightings of the Snowy this winter so far, so actually spotting this Arctic beauty between Fergus and Arthur Ontario Canada was thrilling!
