This shot was taking while kayaking on a part of the lake that was only open to non motorized watercraft. There was a large flock of eared Grebes on the water that day. The grebes were so eye catching with their brilliant red eye. They were comfortable with the kayaks and we were able to just float and watch them while enjoying a beautiful sunny day. I snapped a lot of different shots and had many models to choose from. My favorite shot is this single grebe who was just enjoying the day.
