This Barred Owl was situated above the convergence of two small creeks and, when not snoozing, watched below very intently. It eventually dropped down and picked up what looked to be a dead vole that must have been on the water's edge. I didn't know that Barred Owls ate carrion, however, after researching it afterwards, it is something that they will do.
